My dear Sir

I find from a letter received from Mr R. M. for about six weeks ago, he had not then relinquished the Estates, but assures me that he will immediately do so, upon his accounts being settled, which accounts I understand to be most exorbitant, the propriety of settling them or not, you must of necessity be the best judge of, and of course will act accordingly– I have enclosed a letter to R. Moulton and should he still be in possession of the properties, I beg you will deliver to him, but if on the contrary he should not, destroy it. If the Estates are in your hands, I request that for the present all bills of lading and orders for insurance may be sent to your Brother as originally arranged
