My dearest Henrietta

I received your letter yesterday <w>hich brought sweetest Seppy’s <…> picture. Monies says he thinks it very like he will send it back to be finished with the box he has got here of yours. I suppose you were giving Seppy something to eat all the time he was sitting for his picture[.] give my love to him and his wife[.] I am glad to hear that you are a quack doctor for you will be of use and then we need not have Doctor Bridges. I tell you what Henrietta—Monies is as bad as ever for he opens every bodys letter for that letter you got Papa to direct he had the impudence to open it, and he says he will open all Mama’s letter’s because she directs other Peoples letter’s—tell her this, That Blank Sheet did not succeed for he opened both of them so I am sure I dont know what plan to take to prevent his curiosity. I am glad to hear that Mama’s cold is so much better[.] give my love to her and tell her I will write soon to her[.] you desired me to tell you how Rebecca’s cold is, it is not at all well—she is going to Hastings tomorrow for the change of air, which Monies took all at once into his head. We came here on Thursday evening and staid here all good Friday and then went away in the evening, and we came here again yesterday and to day we are going to dine with Mrs Deffell tell Mama. Give my best love to all at Hope End.
