My dearest Mama

I hear you have arrived at Garryhundon. I suppose you are very gay there. Papa has had a pain in his side. but it is quite well now. Papas rick was very near on fire but Papa james trant Henry trant and Clyde took all the bad stuff of the rick. Papa James Trant and Henry trant went to Ross yesterday and they went down to the shore pulled of their clothes and jumped into the river Wye they swam and dived but the diving made Papa headache but he swam for an hour.

Excuse this short letter but as I have no time I know you will excuse me give my best love to Uncle James (and particular to Charlotte) and all. Your ever affectionate
