To my dearest Papa
On his birthday
May 28th 1825 [sic, for 1826]

Hygeia come, and give us health,
that greatest blessing, without stealth,
And may Plutus with it come,
To grace the comforts of our home!
And Comus crown us with his mirth,
On this day of your heavenly birth!
But now I must bid you adieu,
For my ideas are very few.
