My ever dearest Stormy, I am quite rejoiced to have the great pleasure to address you, on your very happy birthday. I would have done so in verse had not my jejeune head prevented me from calling the Muses to my aid. Perhaps I mught have done so by the help of James’s Lexicon, though I should not know what to put as a rhime to phlebottomizing.

I am in such a hurry that I am in a full gallop, though not in a donkeys gallop, whatever people may say; I am a better judge than they are. and I know I am your affectionate Sam.
