My dearest Papa

This happy day is once more returned on which you were born; all the leaves have shown themselves in bright array on every branch, and the blossoms rejoice upon your birthday, the flowers are all dressed with their different colours, and the grass and corn are springing up upon this dear day

I wish I had at this time,

Apollo to give me some rhime,

But as he will not come,

Prose, you must have some.

That you may have many joyful returns of your birthday and that we may all endeavour to make you live happy is the wish of your affectionate
