My dear Addles
As your little favorite went to explore the Park yesterday & to pay a visit which I was unable to do myself—he had not time to inform you of his safety, so I promised to send you a line to say he arrived about 9-oclock Yesterday mng, not the least fatigued, so he said, but in the Evg whilst he was talking his Eyes Closed & he had a good nap. He was off for Charter house with a note to explain his detention, & an Invitation as usual for Saturday. he delighted us with a description of all the young fry—& also of dear Mama fancying herself better, God send it may be more than fancy[.] you must give us a Regular account how she is going on—& you must not let her exert herself too much in writing Tell her we dont want to hear from her except she can tell us she is quite well—but of her we are always most anxious to hear—how you have robbed yourself my dear Addles to send the pretty little Basket. It is very well done Indeed. It came perfectly safe—our very my best thanks for it, also to dear Arabel for her Bill Case which I shall make use of, & think of her every time I see it which will be constantly. Dear George’s funny mirth amused very much—thank him also my little god child Harry—Ocky—Seppy daisy for their nice little Letters, kiss them all for us——My best love to dear Ba & say I shall expect her puzzle & she must send one of her first poem Battle of Marathon & you are not to forget to send Sam’s odd shoe which was left behind.
I will execute all my little commissions as soon as I have a foot to walk upon—which at present I have not.
I am writing in great haste for I have been out & only just returned & Arliss tells me I shall be too late If I am not more expeditious.

We have not had a line by the Packet—Grannys love to Papa with the parcel poor Mrs Davies is still in that state that they dont expect she will recover.
