My dear Henrietta–

I had hoped to have seen you before I left Marcle—& to have told you what I now write you word,—that I am to be married on Thursday, how much pleasure it would have given me to have seen my dear kind Mrs Barrett once again as Ellen Money and to have received her warm good wishes, & blessing—tell her this will you Henrietta from me with an affectionate kiss, and tell her also how sincerely I hope to find her, please God, quite restored to health & strength when I return– I often think of her. Give my affectionate love also to dear Elizabeth and Arabel–

It is not without regret, deep regret that I leave all I have loved so many years but I could not murmur for the dear being to whom I am going to unite myself is all an ardent heart like mine could wish–

Perhaps we shall return at Christmas, & then I trust we shall meet Henrietta, till then believe me
