Dear Mrs Martin

I received your letter whilst sitting with my sister, and therefore delivered her enclosure, before reading the note intended for myself. She read it, (as she has every letter she has received from Cheltenham), without its producing the slightest effect upon her. She desired me however to give you her love & thank you for all your kindness, & I must take this opportunity of assuring you that neither your’s nor Mr Martin’s both to ourselves, and the beloved one who has left us, can be easily forgotten by any of us. Our dear Ba passed a less restless night and is we think more composed than she was yesterday. Arabel & myself are very well. Believe me
