<***> said, here come our fathers, our Husbands, our childrens Fathers, & our childrens Grandfathers?) I hope you will not ask for the answer to this as it is very easy. Two Hen Pheasants & a cock Pheasant have just arrived from Foxley for Gran[n]y, & she desires me to say that when any of you write there, you are to return her thanks to Miss Price. Treppy sends her best love to Ba and many thanks for her letter, she means to write very soon, I showed that part of the letter about Stormy & Georgy’s great improvement in Latin and Greek to Mr Hutchison my master, & he said they must be very clever, as well as their Mistress (for I told him my sister taught them) for he never heard of any Boy’s so young, being so forward. The Packet has been expected for the last week from Jamaica, but as the wind has been against it, it has not been able to get in; the wind is changed to day, so I dare say, we shall hear from Monies tomorrow. I went with Treppy last Sunday to hear Mr Irving but Treppy could not hear we had such a bad place—I liked him very much, I went in the evening to Mr Stratton but he did not preach; when Bumy was in Town we went one evening to hear a Mr Bees & Bumy was very much pleased, although she did not like the walk, for we went through St Giles’s. Gran[n]y is much the same; this cold weather, & lately it has been foggy; is very much against her; but I hope it will change with the wind. Mrs Sterling is not so well she has lately complained very much of a headache, we were there to day but she was in bed, she has moved nearer to us, opposite the Park. Best love to all & ever remember me as your affectionate sam.
