… As to my dear young friends & neighbours, I can tell you less perhaps than you may by chance know. I have only seen Henrietta & she certainly knows nothing. He tells them nothing & is in manner as usual. I am trying to hope but I fear it is past reason to do so that whatever increased embarrassment visits may blow over. I am so apprehensive of the truth that it checks even my curiosity. I dread the renewal of the loss I have already experienced there …
