Drew hopes Miss Barrett will please accept this Little Needle Case as a mark of gratitude for Miss Barrett[’]s Kindness to my Little Boy. |S.| Drew as a faviour [sic] to ask Miss Barrett—hopes She will not think it a Liberrty [sic] should be very much obliged to Miss Barrett if she will please write my name in these two Books[.] I shall have it to Look at when I have not an op[p]ortunity of seeing you[.] I am very sorry[,] very sorry indeed—that I am not to see you again but may God almighty bless and accompany you and all your kind family[,] may the Lord bless and prosper you[.] S Drew hopes Miss Barrett will not think I am taking a Liberty in troubling her with this—trusts your good Nature will Excuse it[.] Miss Barrett will please accept my most grateful thanks for all kindness and past favours may I once more be Allowed to say good bye[,] god bless you[.]
