Dear Sir

My Brother from his leaving Wynyard where the bet with you was made, never mentioned the subject to me, nor as I understand did he make any arrangements respecting it, I shall however, as he has positively lost it, take upon myself to give directions for the Ball on the 10th Sept I must request you will invite the whole number, as I shall not be in the Country, at that time. I beg to congratulate you on your marriage.
