We have the pleasure of introducing to you the bearer of this, Count de Ripert Monclar whom we beg to recommend to your kind reception and good offices; the count is a relation of the Marquis de Fortia, a friend of ours whom we sincerely wish to oblige.

We have also to request that you will furnish Count de Ripert Monclar with funds to the extent of one thousand francs deducting your charges and against his drafts upon us which will be duly honored by
