Is turned to rain ’ere fall of day
The happiest smiles that light the eye
Oh these must soonest fade & die.
When hope’s Musician beams impart
The sunniest pleasures to the heart
Tis’ then life’s cloudy vapours roll
Their meekest shadows o’er the soul.
