Wednesday Morning. [Postmark: 10 August 1836]
My dear Ainsworth
In haste one word. I have been at Eton several days. I had not heard from Browning. I expected each day to return to see you. Therefore no note—as should have been sent— but you will pardon me!
The poet & myself will call on you at Six. I expect one of my White-Stone-marked-evenings.
Ever most cordially yours
John Forster.
