Sir
I take the liberty to forward you a letter from Mr Close & to state that I shall feel obliged by an answer by the bearer. He has sent me your obligation to his late Brother, with instructions to proceed for the recovery of the amount: for which purpose I have received a power of Attorney & the necessary documents to substantiate his claim as Executor——
For myself I beg to assure you, that it will afford me much pleasure to be instrumental in effecting an amicable settlement of the matter.
I have the honor to remain
with respect
Sir
Yr most Obt Sert
Roger Swire.
The Hon.
S. B. M. Barrett.
