My dear Sir

I received a letter some days ago from Sam, he was at Stockholm, and I am sorry to say Rham and himself, not being able to agree, had determined to separate and Rham only waited letters from you before his return to London, and Sam requested you write him as soon as possible and would direct to him at Messrs. Setterwall & Co., Stockholm. He says not a word of his future steps but that if a War takes place between this Country and Russia he thinks he shall return home. If you should write him recommend his immediate return. I have not again spoken to Mr Clarke on the subject, I last wrote you of; and I think it best to leave him to Sharpe, for as the Executors having not the direction of the Crops now in England, he might think proper to keep me out of them for some time, Mr. Sharpe had best explain to him that he has my direction to collect the money and he must insist upon his settling his accounts with him.

I will for the future take care that I receive no similar uneasiness from that quarter.
