dear Sir,

I waited for Mr Knowles’s papers Until 3 oclock this Evening, when I sent over the bearer to enquire for them. Mr Knowles sent back word to say that he was sick and not able to make them out to-day, but will do so and send them up to Town by next post[.] Had I known this before I would have gone over myself, I beg to enclose you the carpenter’s estimate for the quantity of lumber for one house, &c. I am exceedingly bad off for coffee, may I request the favour of your asking Mr Carey to allow Samuel to let me have per bearer about 25lbs we are getting on very well to day. |Spotted| two Hhds this morning and in a fair way for two more to-morrow,
