I lament much the trouble you have had on my account and particularly the source from whence it arises. I have taken care that no recurrence of a similar nature shall proceed from that quarter. I request you will again write to Mr. C. and inform him of your intentions if he still hesitates to settle his accounts with you.R

R In a letter some time ago received from Mr. P. A. Scarlett he desired I would order 100 barrels of herring from Newcastle which I did and part of which I understand are gone out. Pray were the Supplies ordered by you large and can you give me an Idea of what they are likely to amount to?
