The last Lease to Sloly & Young was drawn out & executed in Falmouth without my knowledge, consequently there is no copy in the Deed Book.– I did not know that the Rent was raised until Mr Sloly informed me when I applied for payment for the first year.

Mr Knibb was on board a Ship in the Harbour & I could not see him till near Eleven OClock. He denies having buried any person in the ground in question since he returned to the country but had interred one or two previously under an understanding that your uncle would give him the land, in which case he would inclose it. He said he would write to your Father about it. I informed <him> that you were Executor & were bound by the authority which appointed you, that your Father had no control over that part of the property I could get nothing farther than that the persons recently interred did not belong to his church– I applied to the church warden & he positively asserted that no parish officer had allowed any burial there, but the persons interred were not members, or not full members of any church, & were buried by their relatives without reference to any person for leave.

I am getting Johnsons Title ready. He expects to have the remainder of the money ready in a week or two.

I have received a notice to serve as Juror at the Quarter Sessions on the 30th Soares informed me that business will not be entered on till the 31st & may not be completed till the next day. Mr Vermont was very anxious that you should send the Phaeton & harness to him for £100. I told him that I understood you had an offer of £100 for the carriage & had refused £20 for the harness.
