Spanish Town,

17th February 1838.

Dear Sir,

I duly received your favor of the 12th inst. returning me the affidavit to ground the Writ of Emblements on your Uncle’s estate sworn to. Since the post of Saturday I have seen Sir Joshua Rowe and again on the receipt of your letter and he doubts the legal appointment of Mr Farquharson as attorney of your Father for Cinnamon Hill and Cornwall, as there is no other power on record than the substitution by your Uncle. He has therefore suggested to allow the proceeding to remain over until July, as no inconvenience can occur from the delay, and in the meantime letters will be received from your Father. I do not therefore move in the present Grand Court.
