As published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, 18, 175.
[London]
[27 July 1852] [1]
Dearest Fanny,
Can you come to us on thursday evening .. not to a party? I have asked Mary Minto, but am uncertain as to her coming.
At any rate, dont say, this time, that you are ill & cannot come, because that is worse than a disappointment. Robert would send his love if he were here.
Your affectionate
Ba.
Come early—not later than eight.
Publication: None traced.
Manuscript: Harvard University.
1. Date provided by reference to letter 3072, in which EBB changes the invitation from Thursday to Friday.
