Feb. 18. ’62.

My Dear Milnes,

I want extremely to see you—to thank you for the prosperous issue of the “Athenæum”-business, [1] & for other kindnesses. Next Saturday, however, I am going to Paris (for just a week). If anything keeps me a day or two longer here, pray let me write a word on Friday and so save the pleasure I must otherwise forego, or look forward to on some later occasion.

Ever yours faithfully,

Robert Browning.
