Will you kindly accede to the enclosed request—it ought to have been sent before: but I mislaid your address– [2]

1. The following receipt was enclosed: “In Memoriam / W.J. Fox / Aug 1 1864 / Received of Robert Browning Esqre. the sum of Three pounds three shillings as subscription to the above fund / Thomas Gilks / Hon Secy / £3.3.”
2. Gilks also enclosed his request of 19 July 1864 (see letter 5421).
3. With this letter is another copy (in part) of the printed list of committee members and subscribers enclosed in letter 5417, to which names of new committee members have been added in ink.
