Wednesday, Decr. 14th.

Bummy wrote a note of propositions to Miss Steers: and Arabel sent Annie’s newly painted basket by the same conveyance.

I wish for Fanny’s sake, that Miss Steers may consent to her proposal; & for Annie’s sake, that it may be rejected.

A note from Miss Steers, who says neither yea nor nay,—but desires to see Bummy tomorrow. Hurrah!—I hope B may go.

Reading the Hippolytus.
