[London—Sunday, 20 May 1860]

Sunday 20th Went to St. James’s church Piccadilly only to hear the same “vain repetitions.” Nevertheless the atmosphere of the church was rest after our busy week and I was glad to be there.

Afterward a little rest at home and then a dinner at Mr Cooke’s in Wimpole Street.
