[Boston—Thursday, 19 November 1863]

Thursday Eve. Mr and Mrs Robert Waterston and Miss Julia Bryant passed the evening with us. Mrs Waterston described her late visit to Roslin (Mr Bryant’s place) and one evening in particular when Mr B. read them a portion of his new volume. Many of the poems have been written for years Miss Bryant told us and put away for correction or completion.
