Monday 20. Mabel. Dear Mabel came in for the first time; she had believed us to be in the country. “It must lighten their grief somewhat she said, to know there are so many to help them bear it”.

Came in the afternoon to Milton, to visit Mrs Silsbee—a fearful thunder-storm.
