[North Conway—Friday, 26 June 1874]

Friday morning. The rest of the company departed for the Glen in a large wagon, to take lunch at Glen Ellis Falls and return. Mother & I remained behind with Miss Morrill. Jamie and Boylston ascend the mountain where the wind moves but slowly compared with yesterday. They enjoy everything—come down in season to meet the party and all return together at night. We give them a warm reception.
